humidity is killing my hair
no longer as enamoured with summer as i was last thursday. i mean i still love summer (oh, the freedom) but like, it's so so SO hot and its HUMID and that SUCKS. a lot. especially cuz i'm trying to get my curls to behave and everything and the humidity makes them both limp and frizzy. and i feel bad because i just started taking care of my natural hair texture again after neglecting it and straightening it all the time and stuff. sigh. but whatever -- at least it's short enough that it's not in my face all the time.
anywayz. over the weekend i celebrated the end of the school year with some friends. we made friendship bracelets, plus i made bracelets with the names of each of the members of *NSYNC on them. it feels very cliché and also very fun. i'm like kind of ridiculously proud of them. and i just like ... wish i had a little more free time. i mean, this week is going to be fun. i have a class thing that i'm taking, and i get to see both my loves, and i'm traveling soon which will hopefully be fun, but like i've barely had a day yet to just relax. it's fine, i'm having fun, but i wanna like take a nap or something craaazy like that. :P
in summer i always get more depressed than usual. it's like the opposite of seasonal depression. or like, it IS seasonal depression but it's the other season yknow??
struggling to develop a choreography style of my own. i think maybe i'm just not experienced enough as a dancer, but everything i've made lately outside of ballroom feels too Backstreet Boys. (speaking of BSB ... i don't hate them per se, but when it comes to who's the better boyband, *NSYNC takes the cake. always.) i oughta learn more styles. i'm trying to learn simple acrobatics type stuff right now, like how to do a walkover. i'm almost there!! i've just gotta get past the Fear that comes when i'm trying to stand up from a backbend. haha. on to learn even more stuff!! this summer i'm totally gonna learn how to dance like michael jackson. someone hold me to it!!
